Meet Our Esteemed Instructors

Terrence Kelley

Terrence Kelley

Acting Instructor

You may have recently seen Terence as King Triton in the 5th Avenue Theatre Company’s production of the Little Mermaid. Other acting credits include Tommy in Brigadoon, Harold Hill in The Music Man, The Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance, and Big Jule in Guys and Dolls.
When not on stage, Terence has directed and choreographed productions of Hair, Evita, and Bat Boy: The Musical. Terence is the recipient of the Excellence in Education Award for Drama at the University of Washington for his work with their Summer Youth Programs.

Angela Kelley

Angela Kelley

Acting Instructor

As the recipient of an UW Outreach Education Excellence in Teaching award, Angela taught acting and theater skills with the University of Washington Summer Youth Programs. In addition, she created and co-directed a Drama Camp production for elementary and middle school students culminating in the performance of staged musicals.
Other teaching credits include 10 seasons with Newport Heights Elementary School as their theater producer and director, and 2 years of experience working as a professional actor and educator traveling with Missoula Children’s Theatre nationally where she directed, performed, and taught workshops.

Mid-Winter Break Class FAQs

What age group is the class suitable for?

There are 2 sessions.
8-11 a.m. for 3rd-5th graders
12-3 p.m. for 6th -8th graders

What is the duration of the class?

The class runs for one week with, with sessions held Monday to Friday.

Do students need prior theatre experience?

No prior experience is necessary. Our classes cater to all skill levels.

What should students bring to class?

Students should wear comfortable clothing that you can move well in and bring a water bottle, snack and pencil. Shoes are not allowed on the mat so please plan accordingly to your comfort level.

Is there a performance at the end of the class?

There is no large performance but parents are welcome to attend and observe improv and activities the students have been working on.

Are there any discounts available?

We offer scholarships for students that qualify for free or reduced lunch through the public school system.

What COVID-19 precautions are in place?

We follow all local health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Students are welcome to wear masks for the activities.

Can parents attend the classes?

Parents are welcome to attend, but are asked to sit outside the activities and avoid distracting behaviors like cell phones and talking.
